Shadow

Trying her whole life to complete herself

Filling her all voids with achievements

Thinking it would make her feel whole

Trying to reach for something....anything, all just barely out of reach

Then, in what seemed like the blink of an eye she lost all the things she had worked so hard for

Nothing changed and she immediately knew

None of it mattered

She stopped looking to be whole

She paused in the mirror

Crying, grieving, losing control

She lost her footing

The mirror broke

On her knees, begging and pleading

Desperately trying to fit the mirror back together she realized the pieces don’t actually have to fit back together

They just need to be acknowledged as broken to heal
