alignment guilt
I would feel guilty, because my life felt good.
Hi friend, today we’re talking about something massive. Alignment guilt. It’s a reaaaal thing that happens in our experiment. As we experience alignment, as we experience incredible things, opportunities, and people just “coming to us” we can start to experience guilt. When we talk to people who’ve known us, people who’ve raised us…people who don’t believe it can be that good.
Whenever I started to align, and I would say “I don’t do it because I don’t wanna,” about business decisions…I would hear “you cant JUST do what you want, Caroline.”
I heard what they said, but my experience told me I could. I felt life open up and become more magical for every time I closed a “no” commitment. I saw more money flow into my business. I experienced more satisfaction.
And a part of me…didnt allow myself to celebrate it.
Because it wasn’t true for THEM, and I felt guilty for my “lucky girl” syndrome. When in reality, it took a lot of courage, a lot of discipline, a lot of devotion to choose alignment, even when my mind and business knowledge said I should. Alignment isn’t easy because we make it hard, because we’re so conditioned to be someone we’re not, to believe what those around us believe.
I’m not sure exactly what the point is today, except…know this, it’s ok to feel guilt. Don’t explain yourself, unless they ask (wait to respond, remember), but don’t let guilt be the reason you don’t choose satisfaction and peace.
Don’t let “them” (whether they are real or in your head) hold you back from following YOUR differentiation.
Let the guilt go, so you can allow life to get better and better and better….and better.
